Inala NHW 3 members honoured

On July 22, Inala Police Officer in Charge, Senior Sergeant Craig Mackenzie, presented  a couple of long-time supporters of the Neighbourhood Watch Group 3 with awards.

Joe Barrett was present with a Certificate of Appreciation recognising his outstanding and long-term contribution to Inala Neighbourhood Watch (NHW) 3. Mr Barrett was the original area co-ordinator of Inala NHW 3 when it commenced officially back on February 7, 1991. Mr Barrett has given 26 years of service to his community through the NHW program and is still going strong.

Recently retired Sergeant Keith Gilbert, formerly of Inala Police Station, also received a Certificate of Appreciation honouring his long-term contribution to Inala NHW 3. Former Sergeant Keith Gilbert officially hung up his uniform on July 10 after nearly 44 years of dedicated service with the QPS. Keith Gilbert was well known amongst the various community groups within the Inala Police division, providing valuable support, assistance and connections between the local community and Police.
